Bill Iverson is a fallen away darkroom photographer, seduced like everyone else by the easy virtues of digital. Susan Iverson grew tired of watching Bill take the wrong photographs and has taken up the sport to remedy his failings.
Mission statements are horrible. But let's try this. Years ago Bill had a friend who walked around with a camera held to his eye, for hours on end. He thought you had to see differently to be a photographer, and that was the only way. Overdone perhaps. But trying to take good photographs forces you to think about what exactly is interesting or important in the scene before you. So it's not only the photographs that may be worthwhile. Taking them helps you see the world more attentively.
